The new autumn flavour aims to celebrate the 50th anniversary of cup noodles.

Cup noodle manufacturer Nissin Foods stated that they decided to launch this autumn-flavored product to celebrate the 50th anniversary of cup noodles. This is not just a casual stimulation of pumpkin spice fever. "After 50 years of noodle innovation, now is the best time to release our most unexpected pumpkin spice flavor so far. Trust me, it's really great," Jaclyn Park, vice president of marketing at Nissin Foods USA, said in the announcement. "Product innovation is at the core of the cup noodle brand. We are very happy to launch our first limited edition flavour. It will definitely cause a sensation. You just have to try it!"

But don't try it out. Although pumpkin spice products seem to be released earlier and earlier each year, Nissin said that their cup noodle pumpkin spice will not actually be on the shelves until late October-when it will be sold exclusively at Walmart.

As for its taste, Cup Noodles clarified that, unlike their standard cups, “this autumn-inspired idea is delicious, not soup-based.” They continued, “Use a special pumpkin seasoning. Made with a perfect blend of sweet, salty and spiced flavors, these spicy noodles are ready with just a little water and four minutes in the microwave."

To be honest, although Nissin may want us to feel all the shock, many brands have made bizarre pumpkin spice before this, and this new cup noodle actually sounds simple.
