An Australian worker claimed that his previous workplace hosted the "cheapest" office Christmas party ever-the event was so bad that he had to resign.

Zach Mander, a video creator from Brisbane, shined a light on his previous company, which only offered a small plate of sushi and a two-minute "pyramid" of noodles as food for the year-end event.

"I believe I attended the cheapest office Christmas party ever," he said on TikTok.

He said that the first "danger signal" was to use a loudspeaker to notify employees to enter the "multi-function room" at the beginning of the party.

"This is an organization with more than 20 employees. There is a sushi table for children-a disappointing island," he said.

Video creator Zuckermander from Brisbane claimed that his previous workplace had hosted the "cheapest Christmas party"

Strangely, there is a toy camel next to the table, and Mr. Mander still has no explanation.

Then he showed a pyramid-shaped photo of 20 microwave oven noodle boxes with a bunch of Hawaiian garlands randomly placed on it.

"This is the worst type of MLM," he said.

Then Mr. Mander calculated the total amount his company paid for this event, estimating that the sushi plate is $40 and the noodles are $1 a cup.

He said: "This gives us $60, divided by 20 employees, who spend $3 per employee at the Christmas party."

Mr. Mander said that the year-end event only provides one plate of sushi and 20 boxes of two-minute noodles

"There is nothing to say that we value your service, such as'Hey, here are some change, pick it up now'"

"I left shortly after that-yes."

His TikTok resonated with Australian workers, and many people shared their own Christmas party horror stories.

A netizen commented: “I’m attending a Christmas party in the office. The time is strictly from 6pm to 7pm. We have to bring our own drinks and snacks.”

'companion. I work for the state government. We spend money to go to our Christmas party," another person added.

"In my last job, the boss came up with a long list of excuses why we can't hold a Christmas party," one person said.
