The old phrase if you can’t handle the heat takes on new meaning with the Nissin Foods Hot & Spicy Fire Wok Noodles. While Nissin Foods has always found a way of making flavorful food convenient, this newest addition to the food brand’s offering could make you a little hot under the collar. Are your chopsticks prepared for this extreme heat?

Recently, Nissin Foods has launched several products. While the Chief Noodle Officer has offered some tasty creations, many people have happily devoured the Stir Fry offerings. Although the Cup Noodles and Top Ramen can be customized in many ways, many consumers are craving big, bold flavors. At the same time, they want the convenience. Granted, a bottle of sriracha might always be on the table, but it is more than just adding a condiment to the mix.

The Nissin Foods Hot & Spicy Fire Wok Noodles are not for the timid tasters. If you can only handle one or two flames on the heat meter, these noodles might be too extreme for that delicate palate. To say that these noodles are spicy is an understatement.

Available in three flavors, Sizzlin Rich Pork, Scorchin’ Sesame Shrimp and Molten Chili Chicken. If you are looking to ease yourself into the spiciness, the Sizzlin Rich Pork is the least spicy. For those ready to jump into the deep end, the Molten Chili Chicken would the option.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try these Hot & Spicy Noodles and I will admit that the flavors might have caused a few tears, a slow burn and almost a yearning for a piece cheese. At the same time, that heat which rose in my cheeks was a welcome enjoyment on a chilly day. Sometimes some spicy food helps you sweat away your sins.

While these noodles are boldly flavored, there is a little way to temper the heat if you are not ready to go to the extreme. With the Fire Sauce packet, you can dial back the extra seasoning. But, if you can handle some Cheetos Flamin Hot Sushi, definitely don’t be afraid of the seasoning.

If you are a little trepidatious about the heat, consider having some sugar on hand. While everyone knows that milk tempers the capsaicin, sugar works in a pinch. Just like a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, it works to bring the heat down, too.

As a new addition to the Nissin Foods line-up, the big, bold spicy noodles are a great choice. Consumers are tired of boring and bland. Even consider blending some plain noodles with the spicy ones to build up to the heat. Not everyone can dive into the deep end of the spice pool.

The Nissin Foods Hot & Spicy Fire Wok Noodles are available in stores now.

What do you think of these spicy noodles? Are you prepared for the heat?
